![]() This is made all the more captivating by the bizarre creatures that inhabit the world and create these tunes. ![]() Hearing what begins as a simple beat evolve into a full cacophony of surreal sounds that’s as infectious and pleasing as it is downright weird is simply fantastic. My Singing Monsters immediately gets a very important aspect for any music game right: the music. ![]() More of a given monster emphasizes their “instrument” of choice, while more of a variety creates additional layers for the environment’s (there are three overall) tune. Each breed is musically inclined and they call, tap, sing, drum, doo-wop, pound, and fiddle their own sounds constantly. Where it all differs is with the monsters themselves. Oh, and monsters can be bred in order to produce new hybrids. Much like the zoo-themed free-to-plays of always, My Singing Monsters lets players purchase critters for their collection, expand the grounds by removing detritus, acquire food, give food to their denizens in order to increase their levels and potential earnings, gather coins from their wards every so often, then use the cash to purchase more stuff/living things. After spending a couple of days grooming my cuddly nightmare choir I’ve come to a realization: it would be a pretty cool game if I could actually play it with any consistency. Since My Singing Monsters is both, it’s captured my interest if not my excitement. If you prefer a storyline or deeper meaning to the game, you’re better off trying one of the alternatives mentioned above.I’ll confess that I’ve been getting a bit burned-out on freemium town building games, but I do love me some wacky music games. If you enjoy breeding virtual animals and seeing what results from particular genetic pairings, this is the game for you. My Singing Monsters is entirely devoid of any such mechanic and exists rather as little more than a breeding simulator. Decent but lacks depthĪnother expectation that modern gamers typically have, even in the case of mobile games, is some kind of storyline or overall narrative. The animations aren’t as smooth as you may expect from a modern mobile game, and all of this leaves the game feeling incredibly dated. The game looks very juvenile, and the monsters aren’t as adorable as they could be. While the game is fun and exciting to play, the graphics are reminiscent of the first generation of smartphone games, where the industry was still finding itself, and the demand for AAA-like mobile games wasn’t a concern. Unfortunately, this is where My Singing Monsters falls short. My Singing Monsters even features events that players can join should they be so inclined. This game has numerous gameplay mechanics, such as a wide variety of monsters to play with, plenty of unique sounds, and even a good selection of customisation options. My Singing Monsters is a game that is bound to entertain players for more than a few hours. However, all of these games require your to breed creatures in order to find new variations and species. The other noticeable difference is that the two games mentioned above have to do with fish, not monsters. However, if you take the music out of the equation, you’re left with a game fairly similar to Simulator Feed and Grow: Fish Game and Fish Live. This is a very different game from other breeding simulators. The game's purpose is to collect as many monsters as possible and breed them to find new variations and songs. As you upgrade and evolve your monsters, their songs will change. The game lets you casually collect monsters that regale you with a unique song. My Singing Monsters is a free breeding simulator for Android created by Big Blue Bubble.
